Hello skunks, I have the following: 1: The small DSTV decoder connected to a sony TV, a PC with a TV card running Debian, and a long Coax cable that can connect the TV card in the computer to <tv out?, DSTV out? > I am trying to: 1: Watch tv from my computer. 2: Watch top gear when they <no names> are watching soaps on local TV which seem to be running 2-4-7 3: Record some stuff onto my hard drive. @Brainiac, if <no names>watch the local channels via the decoder then you need a second decoder. If you receive the locals stations signals via normal RF antenne, then you need to put up a splitter at the RF output of the decoder. If you are locked into AV on the decoder, you will need an RF modulator. HTHs. RF is pretty easy.
