It true in many occasions.Not only in kenya but also in Tanzania,India and so many other areas.Indians have gone even further.They change their Indian name to the closest western name.Even those who hate whites would only pretend to be served by the black but with same high favour on the company products.It also gives more advantage when "trust " is an issue .Many whites with bad experience with black dont care much on helping out black would go for a fellow.

we are having an interesting argument in the office when a fellow dev said that if you are a local startup and want to go far get a local expatriate, preferably white, to join the list of founders. allegedly it boosts PR and opens doors that would have been otherwise slammed in your face when you approach potential clients and/or investors. i know this list is made of techies who have founded or a part of a IT technology startup. what is your honest take on this?
