My preference would be a toyota. I have driven the landcruiser (am talking about the 70 series)and it has never let me down. I have seen a 1980 landcruiser with 600 K on the odomoter and its still running like a charm! If you want to drive to those parts, i would advice the older models, since spare parts and fundis are readiy available there. Both have the same basic diesel engine (4.2 ltr) generating about 150 bhp. Wheelbase and clearnce are also comparable. Goodthing with both is that they are very manual which is helpfull deep in the bush, where you dont have to worry about electronics failing.
