I'm I the only suffering because of Porting away from Safaricom

1. Between Aprill And June I ported to Airtel and lump-some number of problems had busy no!, some calls could not come though, and poor ntwk (voice breaking on incoming Safaricom calls),messsages delay generally alot of inconviniences I gave up and ported out to YU after trying to sort out my problems with the Techies of Airtel! 2. I joined YU in July surprisingly I moved in with some of my problems and developed others I could not recieve calls from specific Safaricom numbers though it was successfully sorted when Yu Techies pushed the Safaricom Techies to sort the issue, Now for the past week I cannot recieve messages from Safaricom with the daily promises "our Rechnical team is still working on it" I\m fed up and the last thing I'll do is port back to Safaricom I'll rather crash my no. 3. pliz Techies your advice will be greatly appreciated

You want to hear my advice ? Move back to Safaricom and problem will be solved. Kevin On Tue, Nov 1, 2011 at 11:23 AM, mwei gideon <mweigideon@gmail.com> wrote:

What kind of advise do you want people here to help you with? You should be complaining to the regulator or whatever authorities if you're so pissed off. Or better still, just buy a new line from the operator of your choice, I don't see what use it is to cling to a line that gives you nothing but grief.... The truth behind Number Portability ?? They barely made to implement it by the deadline.. there was alot of strife and struggle by the techies to make the thing barely workable by the deadline to please CCK. I believe it is an ongoing exercise - that some networks (especially the ones who had many customers) are not willing to pour their efforts on - except the bare minimum to make the moderator happy ! So be patient - mabbe they will iron out the issues ...

I dont think it was worth the effort - somehow some operators thought that the masses would move in hordes from main operator because they were offering cheap services.. But despite all the grumpiness of monopoly - Airtel still dont have a stable 3G, their internet sucks ! Orange degraded their EVDO network on behest of the GSM 3G (forgetting all the people who had invested in the modems).. Yu internet is only as fast as there are less people using the network. The main operator has managed to be abit consistent - though a bit more costly and sometimes disappointing. So are we porting because of cheaper voice calls or because of more services ? w/r Snn On Tue, Nov 1, 2011 at 12:21 PM, Bernard Mwagiru <bmwagiru@gmail.com> wrote:
