download salamanda , it has a file explorer , then manually look at the temp folders , windows drivers folder for any suspicious looking executables and script . get autoruns from windows and have a look at all startup scripts and applications , delete and disable the ones you dont want and the ones you dont know. Also look at bleeping computer for free and safe tools for removal Pray to God it's not a crypto malware The era of antivirus ended my friend , false sense of security IMHO On Mon, Apr 4, 2016 at 11:57 AM, Martin Chege via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

@Martin from experience in the last 2 years updating your OS will kill most of these issues. There is a reason Microsoft and all these other OS companies never tell you to buy an antivirus. Most people view Windows Security updates like the enemy but in actuality they are not. If you have an original copy of Windows just update Windows Defender and you are covered. https://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/threat/encyclopedia/entry.aspx?Nam... I agree, but how long does it take users to update the OS? What about those malwares made to exploit OS vulnerabilities? Also the unknown threats that might not have been envisioned during the making of the OS. Regards, Martin On 4 April 2016 at 12:21, Joseph M Owino <jpmuga@gmail.com> wrote:
