@Aki,
Items a,and be will be listed in your weekly/monthly/annual statement of accounts.
As for Item c, there are 2 PINs involved: the MPesa PIN and the equity mobile banking PIN
On Item e, Mpesa transaction logs are available at Safcom retail centres at 500/= for the last 3 months. Equity mobile banking also provides statements of transactions made via SMS.

So basically this is simply an extension of current systems the only main difference is the ability of transfering funds from Mpesa a/cs to bank accounts. Additional security mechanisms exist for the Mpesa to bank a/c transactions.

@Joe, Thnks great stuff on the replies.  :-))

For kenyans sake, I hope the security systems are in place since and offer these itemized logs on transactions:

a) Deposit : amount, date and time
b) Withdrawal : amount, date and time
c) Some sort of a PIN system and anti-fraud/theft measures
d) Interest rates calculations and amounts on savings
e) Accessibility of the above transaction logs on mobile and what handsets

The BD article quoted that the system has been tested for about 3 years. Has the system been tested on volume transactions and proved to be stable? This question can only be answered by a certification authority. This bagde of approval would really make M-Kesho the best innovation so far. I think Safaricom and Equity are not in a position to self certify the system as being free of bugs or other matters.

Asante.
