Hello all, I have been using NIC online for sometime now and i have been satisfied .. This is what I can do ; I can check my account, transfer funds to other accounts, including other banks in Kenya, and since am always out of the country this really helps me pay my bills since all I need is ones account number. I understander its also posible to pay bills from it but I have never tried that service.... And what do you mean its been down three weeks I used it last week on friday?? One thing I know with banks as the grow, customer service goes out of the window. this is the case with Equity and Barclays. But I think Standard Chartered may be heading there. If it comes to a point you have to complain and get an official statement on the state of affairs, I'd say that's the point I am always ready to call it quits.
Anyway, since I have had online banking I haven't need to visit a branch in a long time, so may they have changed. It was the only sane bank remaining.
KCB is not so bad these days, though they do not have Online Banking but they do have some sort of a site you can download static statement, and the lady at CC told me that was Online Banking. I have heard from within he grapevine they are working on this but I can't be too sure.
It is just frustrating to bank in Kenya. And to do almost everything else.
