<br>To turn off Enable write caching on the disk, follow these steps:<br><br>   1. Click Start, and then click My Computer.<br>   2. Right-click the hard disk, and then click Properties.<br>   3. Click the Hardware tab.<br>
   4. Click to select the hard disk, and then click Properties.<br>   5. Click the Policies tab.<br>   6. Click to clear the Enable write caching on the disk check box, and then click OK.<br><br>If these steps resolve the error message, you are finished.<br>

Hey IT minds,<br>I need some understanding my external HDD (1.0TB Trancend) has been performing smartly 400mbps on USB  and upto 3GB on eSATA.<br>Just the other day I tried ejecting it on some unusual machine and it refused to eject and I shut it down using it&#39;s hard disk switch the next minute I tried on the next machine to copy 700mb (I gave up waiting) till a message pop u[ delay write failed...<br>
