Dear Earthling Davis Being able to read and write may be all the rage on earth but perhaps if there is another civilisation ourt there that has mastered how to communicate telepathically (remember Independence Day?), then they would consider reading and writing a handicap or a form of communication used by primitive civilisations. Personally i dont think we are alone as living beings in the universe because as someone very aptly said, "it would be a terrible waste of space".
