in my opinion, we should now be moving to the first stage of development. so where do we implement this from? who heads the project? On 16/09/2009, steve@sobbayi.com <steve@sobbayi.com> wrote:
Well looks to me too that what Wesley is thinking about is a localized app store. i just don't know if its restricted to mobile apps or can it serve other digital content irrespective of platform. anyway, if thats the case then i think this is a great idea and am up for squeezing in some of my time to get this done.

I dont see how this is a payment system. . . .seems to me like a localised app store. . . . .my view is (Anyone can correct me if am wrong) wesley wants a system thats hosted by the providers portals such that anyone wanting to download gets it from the portal and the developer gets paid for the transaction right? this aint a payment system but a transaction platform. . . .and it seems its constricted to developers/content providers as opposed to intergrating M-pesa, zap and the likes to a unified scalable system that can be used with credit cards, bank atm cards and the like for the east african market. . . . .

KDN MD had said they were working on something but I've not heard any more information about it.
I don't understand why big telcos are dragging their feet about this. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain
