Given there are 6 billion people on this planet, it is extremely unlikely that an idea is unique. Not impossible, but unlikely.
Yeah, patenting is the way to go, but just visit Kenya Industrial
Estates (or is it KIPO?) and see how discouraging it costs to patent
an idea.
