Not all are scams. She should try out cloudfactory. I know someone whose been doing transcription with them. They have a local office and do weekly payment with mpesa.

@Steve Muchai ask your niece to check out a Facebook page called Awesome Transcribers. It's run by Kenyans and there are quite a number of success stories and loads of advice (for free!).
P.S. I know 3 people who make a living from online jobs so there's hope.
