Apologies to those who feel nothing for Rugby. The Kenya 7s team was technically 'deported' back to the country this morning after they arrived in Dubai hoping to get their VISAs at the Airport only to find that it was a public holiday there and the Airport Officials felt nothing.
A quick clarification based on information I have just received.
Apparently the Kenya 7s team arrived in Dubai with all the proper documentation and were met by embassy officials and Dubai 7s officials with no problems.
3 fans (masquerading as players) tried to enter Dubai without visas and they were the ones turned backed. These were not officials or players of the Kenya team. I guess we will learn more in the next few days about who the clowns who tried to sneak into Dubai were.
