The machine has an FSB of 533Mhz!! That is quite slow for System Bus speeds. It wouldn't matter how much RAM you installed, the poor thing would still crawl!
FSB is very important also if you want to purchase a good laptop. Please tafuta a little harder (833Mhz or higher) and plan to invest a little more if you want to use the laptop for Java dev!
