I realize I wasn't clear. There is no cost to cut. The only cost is for the replacement SIM. I guess if you just go with the existing SIM card, the cutting is free. The reason I say 'I guess' is because every time I've gone to their shops, I'd also found it necessary to get a new SIM card due to some features missing on old ones... For instance, recently when I wanted to load credit on another phone using a recharge voucher, my SIM card app (is that what it's called?) could not accept 16 digits on the voucher/scratch card. A new SIM card was able to take the 16, while the old only accepted 12. So I almost all the time end up buying a new SIM card... confusion ilitokea hapo.:)

Safcom gives you the option for a factory cut (KES 200) or 'we cut normal SIM card for you' (KES 100 or 50 - I don't recall!)
I bought my first factory cut SIM from Safcom in 2010, IIRC. So they have always had them as I also remember referring some guys many times..

If you look carefully - you'll notice that your Micro SIM is snipped too close to one side, rather than spaced out evenly. You can have the Micro SIM replaced or try to adjust it in the slot.
