Apparently there were some fibre cuts yesterday, affecting Nairobi and its environs. Which took a while to sort out. The way I see it, Kenya has a long way to go, in the way we do things. look at nairobi for example: it wasnt built with expansion in mind, right now KDN and all these firms are busy digging up sidewalks to lay their fibres, and when they lay their it, its not deep enought so when some NCC plumber comes to do maitenance work they cut the fibre. Or during construction which by the way has messed up the fibre so many time esp along thika road. If you look at Germany, America and so on, thier towns had an elaborate undrground system close to a century ago. Even though they didnt use it at the time its helped them now, for their rail road, sewage and so on. For us we do things in an ad hoc manner. no order in whatever we do. so when we have a national blackout for 5 hours its just a representation of what goes on in the country. nobody is passionate enough to do things.
