*BSD systems were not made to be a walk in the park, that's why they're very stable, if setup correctly. hi guys , in an attempt to venture out there onto a non-linux environment, i would love to try out one of the other BSD's. however i have no clue why there is free, desktop and open bsd/s and additionally someone is ranting all good about solaris. Anyone know how different my experience will be moving from debian/ubuntu to freebsd / solaris?
@Brainiac,
What exactly would you like to do? I have used FreeBSD for a long time, same as PCBSD. Forget DesktopBSD as they are lagging so much behind in the *BSD code!
