@James, It''s a very good idea but you are pitching to the wrong crowd. This list maybe progressive for all other fields including entreprenuerships but not beyond. That is why it is imperative that coders move on to creating more focus groups which will have results in the long term. I cannot imagine that not a single HTML group exists thats pushing its own agenda for the better of their coders. So while e.g. the network group has serious focus on getting to the levels of CCIE and sees the importance of a joint effort, all coders are left to pitching ideas that no one has an interest in. If I take the same example of network group setting goals for becoming CCIEs, then where are the coders aiming towards? Remember, all that free software and pirated software out there is a talent killer and public enemy for us locally. No one on this list has ever come forth and said "Why do you use SugarCRM, screw it, we will give you something done locally". Eventually, the coder sector will die out and we will have more and more of file editors who can tweak for faster results and sales. I'm totally convinced that Skunkslist is not the place for progressive coders, infact it is strongly anti-progressive. We don't lack ideas or the knowledge, we lack the inspiration to do better but these are not within this community list. My mind is made up, either the C# group/list gets going or really time to move on to more motivational code groups out there. Some thots. :-) On Mon, Nov 28, 2011 at 3:41 PM, James Nzomo <kazikubwa@gmail.com> wrote:
Ever since I got my hands on Hoary Hedgehog, The lack of a proper linux Air Combat Flight Sim has been a bother. I have considered filling up that void afew times before to the point of building 3 incomplete aircraft models but development halts due to lack of moral, moral which can be generated when working as a team. Sort of like going to the gym alone versus going as a crew. In former you are more likely to quit after 3 days. XD
Kwa ufupi, is there anyone who can channel some time towards the opensource coding adventure of your life?[?]
