Let us start with 1841--Very good router for a not so big office.It si an Intergrated Services Router(ISR) meaning supports several services,esp a modular one is vwey good for expansion purposes for u can use it for voice i.e as a callmanager instead of installing a legacy PABX,u can add a wireless module for the LAN. You can add a 3G module if your WAN is on a 3G platform,you can upgrade your IOS to an advanced security bundle,you can add IPS module for secutiry....I mean the router is goood and scalable. I need to expand/scale my network for that I need adequate information on particular devices. What I also need to consider are network requirements for this design ie WANs , VPNs, remote access, Access Policies, Distribusion , Security etc. and mostly adapt to change or growth.
