Can anybody recommend a team that has done Google Apps integrations at least twice before for organizations with 50+ users?
I have a friend who might be interested in doing this (from Office 365) so if there's a recommendation, I'm happy to make an introduction.
Oops, so he is already on "cloud" and plan to move to another "cloud". Wonder what's driving him off 365? Price? Sorry for nosing around a bit, but such details are good to share to help others make good decisions in future. I think you should also say more on what he currently have on office365? Is it just mails? Documents? Active directory? It help you get better response. Will be petty involving if you have your identify infrastructure on cloud. If its just mail, he just need to setup split delivery first and all new mails will go to both office365 and Google apps. Then he need to install 'Google apps migration for exchange' and get used to it by migrating several mail boxes. When he is ready, its just a matter of scheduling a weekend to migrate all mails and adjust the MX record. Keep the slip delivery so that its easy to roll back in case of issues. Do make certain though all your clients applications have been repointed to Google apps else there may be surprise when you pull the plug on office365 Its also prudent to install outlook plugin from Google. Since Google apps no longer use exchange active sync, the plugin allow your users to keep using outlook without loosing any feature because of luck of active sync. Its a pleasant exercise though I have never done identify migration. I just know enough to fuck up active directory . Muriithi
Thanks, Adam
