Mark, Mepis linux has always been ahead of the other distros when it comes to drivers and the like. You have the choice of downloading or asking me for the new 8.0 that is good for one who is migrating. It has the look and feel of Windows and once gave me sound drivers when i dual booted with XPSP2. Does anyone know of a distro that has drivers for their notebook Wifi? Ave just installed Ubuntu 8.10 on my system but am kind of dissapointed at its support for different media formats. . . Thought ad be able to play most if not all of the movies and music types that I have. . .had to download them. . . .anyone have an alternative linux based OS that I can try out. . . . Am trying to go opensource . .lakini needing to download all the codecs is a hustle. . . any help?
