Thank you for pointing it out....while Google focuses its current operations enhancing its search algorithms, other firms out there are using ontologies in their semantic web approach...check out Blekko.com

Google doesnt search everything, for one, it doesnt search the invisible web (or deep internet as most academics call it) which has approximately 80% of the information inaccessible to search engines...come to think of it Google only searches the 20% which is just the tip of the information ice-berg!
