If 'wine' dont do it for you - ie. 'windows' sub-system on *nix - then
check out 'reactos' at:
http://www.reactos.org - i've been playing with it in a vm (there's a
vm image for download - only about 30MB) and looks good so far.

"ReactOS(R) is a free, modern operating system based on the design of
Windows(R) XP/2003. Written completely from scratch, it aims to follow
the Windows(R) architecture designed by Microsoft from the hardware
level right through to the application level. This is not a Linux
based system, and shares none of the unix architecture. "

BTW - what are the apps that only work on xp, that lock guys into that
system, and don't run under wine?

A poll, perhaps?

Here's my list:
1. QuickBooks
2. AutoCAD
3. Nokia PC Suite
4. Google Chrome

Remember, coding is 'labour' - so have a rest kesho!

Tony
