[Skunkworks] Orange 3G and the death of CDMA

Suddenly Orange is on a mega expansion of their 3G network, with so much being put into advertising. At the end of this month, the CDMA network will see its end - killed by Orange! So, for those who feed/sleep this ntwork stuff, was it easier for Orange to kill CDMA (low update) and convert those sites/facilities to GSM/3G?
