I want to build a solid state Tesla coil. yeah, the spark gap is making my house smell like a welding workshop. i kinda think that now that prii (many prius) are around i can get high voltage *IGBT<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insulated_gate_bipolar_transistor> s* much easily. am i the only coder who lurks in here like an electrician hobbyist or is there a local forum for electricians?
