We should also remember the meaning of most "e-government initiatives" in Kenya. E-government means PDF forms put online for citizens to download, then send via a courier service to the respective offices. Kudos KRA, they are one of the few government agencies who have automated most of their services for complete paperless access to services. Can the KRA story be replicated in most of our county offices? Do we have enough proactive entrepreneurs and techies who can seize these opportunities and send proposals to the county governments?
