Good to know @Aki. One of these fine days I will make a conscious desision to meet u in person. Simply put, I want to document you.
Secondly, is it true that no tv in Kenya is digital ready? Not even the .5m tv in Sony Showroom? Ama what is a digital TV?

Mr Lawi, fyi. Iptv is one method of delivery used to push content, including in hotels and over last mile into set top boxes. There are some sites out there that offer upto 2500 channels from locations. Myself and a few friends had considered this a few years ago, with a gateway to be setup in amsterdam. Because Kenya has no sat coverage of European Satellites we had in theory planned to uplink into stations at the gateway, pick the feeds and mux them over paid http. There was also a design agreement to have a fiber channel from US content to merge with the gateway in amsterdam. This was the only way to bring the content. But channel rights are expensive with long term commitments and ofcourse the net "had" the bottleneck and the Mbyte consumption was wild....and the project financier decided that his money was better spent on property investments.....too funny :-) Good to see someone starting it off.
Me thots. www.projectskenya.info
