True. And i do remember a thread where some really good work had begun on importing the archives to a mysql db. Maybe we can make an effort to complete the remaining bit and a fully searchable archive..instead of passively waiting for google bots to do the indexing for us. I can put in some time towards that and am sure more developers on-list will be enthisiastic about it too ..

This is the *real* meaning of skunkworks. Collaborating and building on ideas. Just a touch of an official understanding, support, and pointing leadership is needed and we can build on great innovations - bottom up. We need to innovate new collaborative but fluid project-based business models... and DO NOT NEED to replicate or be yet another corporation as suggested elsewhere. Bottom an understanding of this constituency and nurturing it not suggestions of how unworkable it is.. It would have died long ago if it was not viable:-)
