
I stand to be corrected but phpBB seems non modular. That means adding any more features in future may prove very difficult. You may need to do custom stuff on the database and the code for you to add features. Multiple features may mean too many problems. Wordpress, drupal or joomla have migration tools to help you migrate your website to them from phpBB, so you may have some reprieve in migration.
