@james, Dont go to blood donations because its a big area on its own.
sometimes you are not eligible if you lived in some part of the world or had sex with a Nigerian etc. etc. based on what a country's blood bank thinks is not eligible blood and this not only against some african countries like Niger, Congo.. but also UK e.t.c And yes the rules here are many and differ for medical reasons
