Guys, I think the issue is not knowing the actual location of the device but being able to verify that the device is actually installed on your car. This may be done by activating the Internet tracking option for at least a week or a few days after the device is installed and allow the new subscriber to just monitor his car and confirm that it has the device after when the internet option would be disabled (this can even be provided at a fee). The problem with knowing the actual location is that carjackers would force you to tell them where the device is, remove it and then take of with your car just like thieves do with ATMs. Just my thought JK ________________________________ From: skunkworks-bounces@lists.my.co.ke [mailto:skunkworks-bounces@lists.my.co.ke] On Behalf Of David Mugo Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 8:10 AM To: skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke Subject: [Skunkworks] Car Track Secret Installations Hi guys, I came accross http://qanda360.com/dkq_2324_car-track-device-secrecy.dhtml and it got me wondering, should something that you are paying for be a secret even for you? I think its fair for the owner of the vehicle to know the location of the device ama? David. -- Got any life problems? visit www.dearkenya.com
