I have been trying to configure a Huawei modem (Safaricom Bambanet modem) so as to use it with gammu. This is the response I get:
$ gammu --version
[Gammu version 1.20.0 built 02:08:29 on Oct 8 2008 using GCC 4.3]

$ gammu 1 --identify
Can not access SIM card.

Anyone who knows a work-around?
