And I think you are complicating the issue or we are not on the same wavelength. In my view, the mailing list is the simplest to start off with and we should build from there as programmers. I find you reply quite amusing and am literally laughing but will reserve my comments. You don't have to commit to anything or take up such a huge burden of getting the group/list started off.
So can we scale back to starting off from a simple mailing list on google groups for now, re-evaluate in 12 months and see how your vision of the group/list fits then? You will be a significant asset to the list, given your experience and knowledge in the sector.
