Brian With the facts provided i guess I&M is nt among the economical ones. For instance the jambopay guys claim to have interfaced with I&M, so i guess they cover those I&M costs. Josy i have one issue with IPay and the likes, the 'instant' transfer of money 2 the recipient. This will not be healthy in purchase of tangible goods online. Especially if u get the goods are not in good condition. There needs 2 be a 'waiting' time before a seller can actually access his/her received money. Something like 14days or so. If this is so then it means the payment gateway acts as a 'bank', hence CBK comes into play. On 8/26/10, Josy Ngatia <josyveros@gmail.com> wrote:
Brian...
very true...have even tried I&M bank...and for you to integrate you need $2500 and a monthly fee of $200 and also commission on sales... these fee are prohibitive but compared to gateways like Paypal which are free to open accounts and no monthly fee and their transactions being low are very great.
Willie we have another one based on mobile payment called ipay which uses MPESA and ZAP but this is not much open to international E-commerce
