Sorry to say - but i have always been afraid of these so called locals... Not you and me and the minds that think Skunkworks - but the shady people/team awarded "tenders" through the "right" means... We have seen it,,, white elephant projects cycles that have sucked in a lot of money and produced a barely passable 'shaded elephant' with only two legs.... Probably the reason why Nairobi-Nakuru-Eldoret and Thika road was handed to foreigners and not Kirinyaga investment group... In retrospect - it would be prudent to engage locals in actual deployment for the purpose of continuity, and employ ethical managers to run the arena post-expats - But not resource and capital expenditure decisions - - Because even if we vehemently object and claim negativity, we have seen it for years in 'locally' run projects - a foreign company has a name to protect and can be sued by the government ... but you cannot sue Kamau wa Njoroge <who won the tender through 'right' means> and who is kinda related to X in a top official post.
