3G Utilises battery power to near 100% utilization. Same applies for Blackberrys' EDGE works well. On settings please set the parameters on the Ideos as follows. Go to Settings then choose Wireless and networks and choose Mobile networks Disable or Uncheck Data enabled and choose Use only 2G networks. This will save you On battery usage. Also disable GPS found under security and Location. So far I have disabled these features and my battery has worked just fine giving me the maximum use of the Ideos Android phone. I am not sure of what works for you as far as using your Ideos Android phone is concerned. Those are the few I have interacted with. Cheers. You can try it out or, to be safe, you can just read thru the thread to make a more informed decision. You can also try using setcpu as suggested by Mugambi, it works as advertised.

I noted the phone heats up a lot to aboutt 45 deg when using the 3g network. Switching it back to EDGE improves things a bit but not lke when on orange's EDGE network.
