Login as admin, create a different user account, then try login as that new user. If you cant, then thats indicative of an active virus. If you can login several times as that new user, then it can be assumed that the problem with the old user account was a freak accident, sort of.

You may expect us to reply to you with possible solutions to a problem that you've not described clearly. Assuming Windows XP SP3 environment, if you rightclick on "my computer", choose "manage", expand "Local Users and Groups" (there must be some run cmd equiv of this but that's for Windows gurus) and highlight Users, do you find your account missing?
If that is the case, I'd backup my data to a safe destination, scan that for viruses, format the PC and reinstall, then restore my data. That's the shortcut solution if you cannot use an antivirus to sort yourself out.
