Unlocking a phone or modem is *not* illegal - changing the IMEI *is* illegal - although, you may be breaking a contract with the telco if you unlock a device locked to their network - for which you may face a civil action. I dont think it make sense for one to own 5 dongles or modems!!,..why is it illegal? Once I bought the modem I owned it completely and I also dont think I can be questioned for modifying my Property.Does it hurt any one really??,..guys,..lets be innovative.
