So my new laptop has Vista and Outlook 2007. i was trying to set my email up and when it came to defining server, I went ahead and placed the info that I have - server name and my name... <br><br>Error comes:<br><br>&quot;The name cannot be resolved. The microsoft exchange server is unavailable. Outlook must be connected or online to complete this action.&quot; - OK.<br>
<br>Then it says &quot;cannot open your default mail folders. the file c:\users\Al Kags\Appdata\Local\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst&quot; is not an offline folder file.&quot;<br><br>Then it closes. <br><br>When I reopen outlook, I go through the same.<br>
<br>Tried to follow the instructions for a workaround as per this MSFT site: <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913843">http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913843</a><br><br>problem is, in my registry there is no RPC in here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\RPC
