If you require some remote support, I may be able to get some time tomorrow to help you take a look. See if that is an offer you can take. Last time I looked into a Linux webserver, I found the setup so complicated. I am a FreeBSD guy, sorry, but I can help you figure out issues if I can see the logs:)

For now, I suggest you use chmod -R 1777 even if you are on a local net.
