Tight regulation in my opinion marks the begining of the death of Skunkworks, coz now before i post anything i ask myself whether im in line or not. And its not a nice feeling

Some off topic have been interesting and important, at least for me. And i opened it knowing its off topic.

Lets regulate, but lets leave room for creativity, ingenuity and even promotion. Just not spam.

However, in my opinion, if it has clearly been labeled off topic, then if I have no interest in offtopic posts,I can easily filter or delete. Very few people visit

The question is, are we regulating for the sake of regulating or which problem are we trying to solve by moderating? If people are discussing it, then it must mean it strikes a chord with them. In which case its the 'quality of membership' and not just the quality of posts that has to be moderated.  This is alot of work for the MOD's we should try to find an easier way.

Maybe we should change the format of Skunkworks from a mailing list to a web interface like stockskenya/wazua.........easier to manage then. And I am sure there can be revenue in form of Advertisements.

PS, IT/TELCO doesn't exist in a vacuum, it exists in the real world where OT issues always come up. It is a steep climb indeed to try and separate the two.

The forum is a better platform for such a thing. Think about it. Would
something like craiglist work better as a mailing list or as it is?
The bulletin board is way better for such  things. You only need to
navigate to the proper topic to get relevant posting[s]. This way,
you/I/anyone else doesn't need to trawl through their mail looking for
a job/product. And better anyone new can easily locate previously
discussed topics..  For example,
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&q=skunkworks+%2Bwvdial+site%3Alists.my.co.ke&btnG=Search

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.As we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
