I posted the same question on certification to the RedHat Country Manager, find the response below: -
Red Hat are currently trying to recruit a training partner in Kenya but
these discussions are only just starting and we do not expect to have
anyone in place before the end of 2009.
Red Hat courses can be done at the training centers in Europe or at Red
Hat certified training centres, Torque-IT and Obsidian Systems in
Johannesburg, South Africa. The Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
certification is the most sought after and respected certification in
IT technical capabilities. The course is one week and the exam is an 8
hour PRACTICAL test. The failure rate is close to 50%.
Anyone intending to do Red Hat technical training should first do the
pre-assessment test to determine their current capabilities and
recommend which courses they should attend.
To find the pre-assessment go to https://www.redhat.com/courses/ and
click on "Pre-assessment
questionaires" bottom right.
I suggest everyone does the Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) course
before attempting the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam.
In the latest (2009) IDC report on training Red Hat training is rated
as the leading IT training organisation in the world. It is the ONLY IT
training organisation in the Leaders quadrant measured in terms of
Strategies and capabilities. Strong contenders are Lawson Software,
SUN, HP, SAP and IBM.
Resellers wishing to engage with and resell Red Hat and JBoss
solutions should register as Red Hat Ready partners on the web site.
Resellers can purchase Red Hat subscriptions via our distributor in
South Africa - The Linux Warehouse - www.linuxwarehouse.co.za
More information than you needed but hopefully answered in full. :-)
Keep the questions coming.

Louis
