Orange are gunning to launch their 3g in the next few weeks so that issue will be history.

It is not unheard of for carriers to support different types of smart phones.
But I agree Apple could have pushed iPhone adoption in Kenya if they
had gone with Safaricom. I am sure it is a pain to use the iPhone on
a non-3G network. It is just not value.
