I had the same issue, what i did is Trim a Yu simcard to fit in the slot.It worked perfectly...

You have to go to safaricom shop and get a replacement SIM card for your SIM, but only this time ask them to give you a microsim.
KES 200 for that. You'll get a microsim with a holder/adapter so you can use it on iPad and your phone too (with the adapter)!
