Would Google have been easier? When you post a question that could have been Googled, you force everyone on the list to look at your email, whether or not you have responded, in the grand scheme of things, you have wasted more time, just that you have transferred the problem to someone else.
Is it in the core focus of the list? The question has been asked as to whether items that 'Skunkworks Members' use outside of tech qualify as on topic? No. We have cars, they are off topic. Allowing conversation that is out of the lists core focus is opening up a rabbit hole that can lead to social questions e.g. when is the best time for a 'techie to get married' can be deemed as 'useful for the techie' but really... etc etc.
Your grammar. Much as 'SMS' speak is endearing to the 'teens' and mixing of languages (Sheng, Engsh, whatever the variety), you fail to communicate effectively when you use the mixture.

One more thing OT posts had a moratorium (and still do) for a very good reason, the noise levels on the list are getting unbearable. Deciding to 'change the tag' does a disservice to all. If you have a look at the threads, they have had repetitive content.

Some support - If it's actually *not* easier to Google.
Technical discussions (healthy).
Projects people are working on.
'State of the nation' - What's going on in the technology space.
Events that are of benefit to the community.
Policy discussions.

Please, let us not have threads on selling items etc. While at some point the ads may have been useful, at this point they are letting the list degenerate into a marketplace.
