Another suggestion: Get a Wireless Router (most have 4 ports), cascade it with a switch (like those D-Link 8-ports) and you have a DHCP server. I know this is not free, but it's cheap! You already have a switch, so another 3k and you have a wireless router doing DHCP for you.
