[Skunkworks] South African Airways does not allow Flight mode on smart phones....

They rather you switch off the device entirely..... Another myth being peddled by Airlines? So smartphone manufacturers go to lengths to create a flight mode function but a waste of resources. I'm in Port Elizabeth and my other friends also confirmed the flight mode story. :-)
