Check out this video of a blind kid using the iPad (another example of kids being amazingly smart) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7lvQkT1U18 At minute 4 he starts talking about VoiceOver and even bluetooth braille reader integration. An iPad2 seems like an ideal complete solution for blind/visually impaired people to read/write. I know that doesn't answer your question but I thought it would be helpful. --- Kili.io - OpenStack for Africa: https://angel.co/kili-io Musings: https://twitter.com/varud About Adam: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamcnelson On Mon, Jul 8, 2013 at 10:53 AM, Stephen Wanjau <wanjaustev@gmail.com>wrote:
Dear listers,
A friend would like some assistance. Kindly read message below.
Planning to use portable NVDA screenreaders on USB for blind in Kenya. Know any NVDA users in Nairobi <https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/nairobi> ? @NVAccess
NVDA software enables blind and vision impaired people to use a computer by communicating what is on the screen using a synthetic voice or braille.
regards, Stephen
