Thats a Serious security breach. I thought there were standards that govern in what form banks can transmit data especially pertaining to customers. Most banks I've seen always password protect the file and they tell you the password is something like your birth year followed by the last 4 digits of your account number. which is still not very secure but atleast its a notch higher than plain simple files. On Tue, Mar 3, 2015 at 3:19 PM, Steve Muchai <smuchai@gmail.com> wrote:Hi Jimmy,It's a plain PDF, not password protected.Regards,Steve.On Tue, Mar 3, 2015 at 2:10 PM, Jimmy Thuo <jimmy.thuo@gmail.com> wrote:Are the transaction advises in a password protected file attachement? On Tue, Mar 3, 2015 at 3:07 PM, Steve Muchai <smuchai@gmail.com> wrote:It was totally casual on the part of the lady I spoke to. Problem is I don't have an account with them, but one Susan Muchai does. I've repeatedly written back advising them I shouldn't be receiving them but they don't respond. What pisses me off most is that they have that legal disclaimer text down there.Well, I've just about had it. My last reply to them was to the effect that I'll post every single email they send me from now henceforth, on social media. I'll post it on FB, tweet it, Instagram it, whatever. That way I may get their attention.Let's see how this goes.Regards,Steve.On Tue, Feb 24, 2015 at 10:09 AM, Morgan Kisienya via Security <security@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:Hi,Happened to be doing some reading on email disclaimers and the applicability of some of the disclaimers organizations use within the ambit of information security. What do you think?Regards
