Hi Aki, Since Question 1 : Since the CRT is a vacuum, if subjected to sudden physical shock, will it implode or explode? Answer: Implode. Question 2 : Why is the front of CRT screen thicker ( at least 1 inch ) while the rest is delicate glass? Answer: There is an aquadag coating that is not present anywhere else and its only the front that is being 'hit' by accelerated electrons. Question 3 : Is it true that the phosperous material can get magnetised and change colour display and what is the remedy? Answer: Presence of strong EMF derails the electrons from their path hence discolouration. Most modern CRT circuits have a degauss circuit which is responsible for rectifying this. Degauss and your colour comes back. Regards
